An act of faith requires three actions: to believe, to know, and to trust. The author of the Letter to the Hebrews defines faith this way: “The assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Although we have not seen Jesus Christ in the flesh, we believe, know, and trust that He exists. We are members of His body, striving to do God’s will.
During our parish Lenten retreat, Dr. Josephine Lombardi will guide us three these three actions as we reflect on the importance of deepening our relationship with Christ. We will ponder insights from scripture, the beauty of art, and the gift of sacred friendships.
