SACRAMENTS

A sacrament is a visible sign, instituted by Christ, to give grace. The seven sacraments touch all the stages of Christian life: Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, Reconciliation (Confession), Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony. Discover the sacraments and how you can participate in these rites.

BAPTISM

Baptism marks the entry of the believer into the Christian community.

CONFIRMATION

Confirmation seals our life of faith in Jesus.

THE EUCHARIST

In this sacrament we receive the Body and Blood of Christ.

RECONCILIATION

Through Reconciliation we receive God’s forgiveness through absolution by the priest.

MATRIMONY

Marriage unites a man and a woman in a sign of the unity between Jesus and his Church.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK

This sacrament unites a sick person’s suffering with Jesus and brings forgiveness of sins.

HOLY ORDERS

This sacrament unites a sick person’s suffering with Jesus and brings forgiveness of sins.

RECORDS
