Ways to Give
There are several ways to donate to Queen of the Most Holy Rosary parish. We believe contactless giving is a more cost effective and convenient way of the future. It has the same level of security as a bank as it is through your bank! The use of EFT makes donations easier and more consistent, benefiting both the parishioner and the parish.
Online donations
Anyone wishing to send donations or weekly offerings electronically can do so by Electronic Transfer (EFT) through your banking app or website to ottawaholyrosary@gmail.com.
Step-by-step EFT instructions
1. Add Holy Rosary Parish to your payees. The Auto deposit feature has been enabled; therefore, money sent via Interac e-Transfer will be deposited to the Holy Rosary bank account automatically, without the need for us to answer a security question. 2. In the space for a “Message” you can specify your envelope number if you have one and where the donation is to be credited i.e., General Operations/ Repairs & Maintenance etc. The amount can be split in the same EFT by indicating how to divide the amount in the Message. 3. As the sender you will be notified that the Interac e-Transfer has been completed and the parish office will receive an email with the particulars of who the transfer is from and how much was deposited. 4. This will be entered in our system to be included in Income Tax receipts issued. 5. You can also set up recurring ETFs. Check with your bank. 6. Giving by ETF allows almost 100% (less a 60 cent transaction fee) to support the work of the Parish. 7. Charitable tax receipts will be issued for all donations in January of the following year.
If you cannot send an EFT, you can also donate online through Canada Helps.
Donations by Cash, Cheques, and Larger Financial Gifts
We will also accept cash or cheques in our collection baskets at weekend Mass or through the Parish Office. If you use a giving envelope, a Visitors donation envelope, or an envelope of your own, please ensure that you include your name, address, phone number and email so that we can ensure that you receive a tax receipt.
Estate Planning and Bequests
Including Queen of the Most Holy Rosary in your estate planning or will can make a sizeable difference in your tax bills and allow for funds to go to the organizations that you support. Contact the parish office and we can discuss it further with you.
